About Dr. Bowman!

Dr. Jeff Bowman was born in Reading, Pa. and spent his early years in Hamburg, Pa. He moved to Skaneateles, Ny., a small town in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of upstate New York and spent some time in Pittsford, Ny., where he graduated from high school. He received his undergraduate degree from Colgate University where he made the Dean’s list and lettered in track and golf. Dr. Bowman received his dental training at SUNY at Buffalo, where he received numerous academic and clinical awards for excellence. After serving for two years in the Navy at the Naval Air Station, Oceana, in Virginia Beach as a dentist, he received an additional two years of orthodontic specialty training at the prestigious Eastman Dental Center under the tutelage of Dr. Daniel Subtelny in Rochester, obtaining his Certificate in Orthodontics in 1975.

He moved his family to Frederick, MD in 1975 and bought a small orthodontic practice from Drs. Allie Skib and Jack Phillips and has practiced solely at the same location for the past 30 plus years. His wife, Nancy works in the practice and was a hygienist in Salisbury for over 20 years and worked with the former Dr. McGreevy for five years. She loves gardening and her animals (cats, great danes, and grey hounds). Both Dr. Bowman’s sons, Brad and Sean live and work in the Frederick area with their wives Anne and Kiersten, respectively and their families, his other son Justin lives in Salisbury. Dr. Bowman is proud of his six grandchildren, four of whom live in Frederick (Ben, Emma, Ellery and Campbell).
